My name is Arianna Ycaza and I have the honor and the privilege of serving as Delta Zeta’s Vice President of Membership and Recruitment this year. As recruitment approaches, I want to express my utter excitement to see your faces and welcome you into the Panhellenic community this fall.

I was in your shoes just three years ago. Nobody in family had ever belonged to a Greek organization and I knew little to nothing about the recruitment process, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I registered. Little did I know I was making one of the best decisions of my college experience, second only to committing to the best university ever!!!

Recruitment can be overwhelming, fast-paced, and stressful, but this experience is truly so exciting and rewarding. Greek Life at UGA has given so many students a sense of community and a home away from home. Leaving home and being away from family for the first time was far from easy, but the friends I’ve made at DZ have truly become a second family to me. I am so proud to call my friends in DZ sisters. They are truly extraordinary and inspire me to be a better friend, student, and person every day.

I am especially excited for you to meet the women of Delta Zeta and I know they cannot wait to meet you too. I truly hope that this week is nothing short of incredible for you all and that each of you have an opportunity to discover new things about yourself, begin new friendships, and feel more empowered by the end of the process. You are so worthy, just be yourself and I know that this recruitment season you will find exactly where you are meant to be.
