A Letter From Our President

Hello and welcome to Delta Zeta at the University of Georgia! My name is Katie Padmos, and I have the immense honor of serving as President of the Zeta Pi chapter of Delta Zeta.

I am a rising senior Genetics major on the pre-med track, minoring in Women’s Studies. When I’m not in class or studying, you can usually find me walking on the Greenway, terrorizing my roommates with living room karaoke, grabbing coffee with friends, or in a yoga class! Being surrounded by women who are driven, compassionate, and joyful has been one of the greatest privileges of my college experience.

Delta Zeta has been my home since my freshman year, and it’s hard to put into words just how much this chapter means to me. The friendships I’ve made here are the kind that celebrate you at your highest highs and walk beside you through your lowest lows. These women have been my study partners, my biggest cheerleaders, and the reason I feel so grounded at UGA. Delta Zeta is more than a sorority, it’s a community of women who lead with empathy, lift each other up, and strive to make a difference in the world around them.

At Delta Zeta, we are proud of our commitment to service, scholarship, and sisterhood. From supporting the Starkey Hearing Foundation and our local philanthropy partners to creating inclusive programming that reflects our shared values, our chapter is always working to foster connection and growth. We are passionate about giving back to our campus and broader community, while also investing in each other’s personal and professional development.

I’m also incredibly grateful to be part of UGA’s Panhellenic community, a network full of inspiring, ambitious, and supportive women across all chapters. Being in community with them makes me a better friend, woman, student, and leader.

Whether it’s through late-night laughs, heartfelt conversations, or cheering each other on through life’s milestones, our sisterhood is rooted in genuine love and support. I truly believe there is no better place to grow into the woman you’re meant to be than here at Delta Zeta.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our chapter. I hope you feel the warmth, authenticity, and strength of our sisterhood as you explore what Delta Zeta has to offer.

Truly,
Katie Padmos

About Us

Delta Zeta was founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Our six founders joined together to form a social sorority with a vision of lifetime sisterhood. Delta Zeta has now grown into 170 collegiate chapters across North America enriching the lives of over 260,000 initiated members.

The Zeta Pi chapter at the University of Georgia was founded in 1961. We currently have 343 members! Delta Zeta women are empowered to lead and serve. Every member is encouraged to join organizations outside of the sorority and are provided many resources to promote success. For almost 60 years, our members have been happily serving the Athens community and will continue to do so in the coming years.
