“Bite of Athens is Zeta Pi’s tradition spring philanthropy event. While this year certainly looked different than years past, the event had the same main idea. Bite of Athens is typically literally just a “bite”, or sample-sized portion of food from various restaurants around Athens. This year, I decided to do full serving size portions from fewer restaurants, because we ask for donations for this event and we understood that many vendors in Athens don’t have as much freedom to give donations this year as they have in years past due to the pandemic.

This year’s event featured dishes from Taziki’s, Fuzzy’s, Nedza’s, Cafe on Lumpkin, Krispy Kreme, Newk’s, Taqueria Tsunami, Your Pie, and DZ’s house Chef Charles’ famous Mac n Cheese! Since this was a chapter-only event, girls didn’t have to sell any tickets or work the event, just if they were on the committee! After getting their food, girls were able to take pictures with the banner, play cornhole outside, and socialize with sisters they might have not seen in a while!”
