The Zeta Pi chapter was established at the University of Georgia in 1961. The Delta Zeta house is located on South Milledge Avenue and is one of the only Greek houses at Georgia designed to house sorority sisters. Our house is one of the largest houses, hosting over 75 sisters every year. Our meals are prepared by our personal chefs and our house is kept by our wonderful house mother, Ms. Wanda.
Delta Zeta prides itself on a strong sisterhood. We host several events each month for our girls to take a break from classes and hang out with each other.
Every Sunday night our chapter has a movie night. From Frozen to The Breakfast Club to Divergent, we always have something great to watch. It's even become a tradition that before finals we order pizza, cookie cake, and a giant movie screen for a movie-on-the-lawn event.
We also have more active events, such as Orange Theory and Pure Barre Classes, white water rafting and trips to lake Oconee. Each week trainers come to our house for Sorority Fitness, and you can always find a DZ running up and down Milledge Avenue!
Through some sisterhood events we are able to give back directly to the Athens community. In the past, we have spent weekends volunteering at the Athens-Clarke County Humane Society. This event included a cookout, face painting, moon bounce and more. The event was not only a fun excuse to play with animals, but we helped raise awareness for the shelter and find new homes for several animals.
